Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy, has unveiled a new line of electric vehicles known as the Tsion brand. The unveiling took place during the “New Economy Unveiling 2026 with Pastor Chris”, an event held on August 18, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria marking the church’s expansion into the technology sector.
The unveiling was part of the church’s initiative focused on innovation and economic empowerment, a move which has generated significant buzz online, suggesting a strategic move into the growing electric vehicle market in Nigeria.
The Tsion range includes various models, notably the Tsion Passion, Tsion Falcon, Vision series, Vision Coupe, and OG series. During his presentation, Pastor Chris emphasized that “OG” stands for “Of God,” and indicated that some design elements of the vehicles, such as the steering wheel, are still undergoing refinement.
Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, who attended the event, praised the unveiling, stating, “My mind has been stretched. This is what it means to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.” He further highlighted that the church is no longer merely waiting for outside solutions but taking proactive steps in the marketplace.
While reactions to the unveiling have varied, many supporters view it as a step toward local manufacturing and job creation within Nigeria’s emerging electric vehicle sector. However, some skeptics have raised questions about the church’s funding sources for such a project, given its faith-based foundation, and the affordability of these electric vehicles for average Nigerians.
