Diaspora Akwa Ibomites to hold 40th Anniversary in Uyo

The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA Inc. (AKISAN) is gearing up for a momentous event as it announces its 40th National Anniversary Convention, scheduled to take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in 2027. The grand convention aims to celebrate the contributions of the Akwa Ibom diaspora to the State, and strengthen ties among members globally.

Celebrating Four Decades of Unity

As the anniversary approaches,, the association emphasizes the importance of unity and collaboration among Akwa Ibom people, both in Nigeria and abroad. According to him, “This convention is more than just a celebration; it’s an opportunity for us to reconnect, share knowledge, and foster investment back home.”

“The 2027 Convention and homecoming is expected to provide an opportunity for younger members of the Diaspora to reconnect with the state, its culture, people and heritage.

“We’ll equally reflect on its history and honour the pioneers who nurtured the organisation over the past four decades.”
